Welcome to IMeasureU Step, we're glad to have you with us! To help you start monitoring your athletes and patients using Step, we've put together this guide to walk you through the basics of getting up and running with your first session. Each step below will walk you through the basics, and then link off to an article with detailed explanations and instructions for that particular task.

The following steps will help get you started as quickly and as smoothly as possible:

Step 1: Download the Desktop software and the iOS app and set up your computer for use

Step 2: Download and install USB drivers for your computers

Step 3: Place your sensors on your athletes

Step 4: Record your session with the iOS app

Step 5: Edit and upload your data with the Desktop application

Step 6: View and analyze your data in the Cloud Dashboard

Step 1: Download the Desktop software and the iOS app and set up your computer for use

The Step system consists of the inertial sensors, iOS app, the Desktop application, and our cloud Dashboard.

Visit our downloads page to find the relevant software links you will need to install.

We also recommend contacting your local IT team to make sure your computer is optimized to work with Step. See our IT page for more detailed instructions.

Step 2: Download and install USB drivers for your computers

In order for your sensors to communicate with your computer, it is essential to install the appropriate USB drivers to every computer you use.

Note: If you are using a Mac computer it will block the install of the USB Drivers by default. Follow the steps in the link below to unblock them.

Follow our driver walkthrough to install your drivers.

Step 3: Place your sensors on your athletes

After you get set up you are ready to start collecting your first session!

Turn on two of your sensors and attach them using the steps below:

You can view more details about the sensors here

Step 4: Record your session with the iOS app

Before running a session with the app, we highly recommend watching the walkthrough video below.

You can also see more information about the app on our App Guide

As a last step, export your time sync file from the app and collect your sensors.

Step 5: Edit and upload your data with the Desktop application

Plug in the sensors to your computer and open up Step Desktop.

Select the athlete you recorded and follow the prompts to upload the data.

Follow our step by step walkthrough here for more detail.

Step 6: View and analyze your data in the Cloud Dashboard
